Truecaller, a prominent caller identification app, has unveiled a new AI-powered call recording feature for iOS and Android users in India.
Enhanced Call Recording Capabilities
The latest feature allows Truecaller users to effortlessly record both incoming and outgoing calls directly within the app. Available as part of Truecaller’s Premium plan, priced at Rs 75 per month or Rs 529 per year, the AI-powered call recording feature offers users greater flexibility and control over their conversations.
Empowering Users with Transcription
In addition to call recording, Truecaller’s AI-powered feature includes transcription capabilities for calls conducted in English and Hindi. This functionality enables users to conveniently transcribe their recorded conversations for personal or professional purposes.
Expansion Plans
Initially launched in the United States, Truecaller’s call recording service is now introduced in India, with plans for further expansion into additional markets and languages in the future.
Seamless Integration for iOS Users
For iPhone users, initiating call recording is streamlined within the Truecaller app. After making or receiving a call, users can access the recording feature from the Search tab. By tapping ‘Record a call’, users connect to the recording line via a special number provided by Truecaller. The option to merge the calls facilitates seamless recording, with push notifications alerting users when recordings are ready for access.
Simplified Recording Process for Android Users
Android users benefit from a dedicated recording button integrated into the Truecaller dialer interface. With a single tap, users can effortlessly start or stop recording calls. Even on non-Truecaller dialers, a floating button provides easy access to initiate or conclude recording. Post-call, users receive push notifications to notify them when recordings and transcriptions are available for review.
